My Crazy Week

This past week has been utterly crazy. Some of it was bad, some of it was good and most of it will require a little explaining to understand just how crazy it was.

Wedding Photos and Caleb Videos!

So, after more than a year, Ashley and I got the DVD with all of our wedding photos. This is good, because other than the really nice prints in the wedding album, we don’t have any pictures from our wedding. No one who took pictures ever sent us any. Oh well. Now we have all the professional photos and we are loving it.

You can find the photos on my Facebook or here (NOTE: Link removed).

Also, Ashley put together another video of Caleb and put some music to it. Here it is!

Rings

Ashley and I went and picked up our wedding rings last night. We got a trio set from Fred Meyer Jewelers and they are sweet! Mine needs to be resized, again, since it doesn’t fit, but it’s free since we got the 3 year plan thing. We also get free service and rhodium plating for the three years, which is important for our white gold rings.

Ashley gets to wear the engagement ring of the trio. Now, this isn’t the first ring she gotten from me. I proposed with the same ring my dad proposed to mom with, so she still has that one. But the new ring actually has a diamond on it. Like “sticking-out-where-it-catches-on-everything” on it.

Also on the wedding front, we have our photographers. We have a good idea where we’re going to get the cake. Ashley has her dress. We’ve decided where we want to go for our honeymoon. And we’re down to 4 and a half months left! BOOYAH!

102′d

I have a new e-mail notification sound. Of course, I converted it to a WAV file, but that’s my new e-mail notification on my lappy. My work compy still has Peter Griffin saying “Holy Crap!” when a new e-mail comes in. It used to be Colonel Jack O’Niell saying, “Space Monkey,” but I changed it a while back. So now I get “Holy Crap!”‘d when I get e-mail at work and “Sever your leg, please. It’s the greatest day,”‘d at home.

Why does all that matter? Easy! It doesn’t!

All you 24/Jack Bauer fans should get a good laugh out of this (heads up: not all the “facts” about Jack on this site are appropriate for all ages – you’ve been warned).

On the same note, I was searching for 24 fan groups on Facebook, and there was one call “But mommy, Jack Bauer bites people… why can’t I?”

On the Wedding front, we are making progress on the floral field, due in large part to Ashley discovering that a co-worker of ours likes to do floral arrangements for weddings for fun. Booyah! We’ve also been talking about our honeymoon, but no details for you on that! That is all, as I must leave now. Popsicles, away!

My Biggest Blog Post Yet!

Three weeks later… A lot has happened this month. Ashley and I were the coaches for our church’s AWANA Games T&T Teams. That took up the first two Saturdays of the month. I coached the boys team and we took last; her girls took first. A good note: even though my boys took last, not a single one of them complained. They were very good sports. I also got to see a few friends from New Life there. That was fun. Though, I think I scared Nathan DeVore.

Wedding Planning: Guest List & Bridal Party

Ashley and I sat down last night and hammered out what could be our final guest list. It’s not an easy task, since we have a limit of 150-180. Her extended family is huge and we have a lot of friends and not everyone is going to get an invitation. We both had trouble figuring out who to say yes to and who to say no to.

That One Guy Gets A Life… I Mean Wife

So That One Guy is now happily married to Rogue Blogger. The wedding was beautiful. Conglaturation, again!

I also got to see some friends from college that live in that area that I haven’t seen since my last visit to Salem, where those same friends used to live. That was fun. They were really happy to see me, too, and even treated me to some good mexican food. Booyah!

I plan on going back in the future and bringing Ashley with me. Chad said that he’d take us shooting when we came down, so we’re really looking forward to that!

Stuph

Tomorrow marks an important day for That One Guy. Next year it will be his one-year wedding anniversary. That’s right, That One Guy is getting married tomorrow. Conglaturation!
