Updates

I'm still looking for a job and that takes up a lot of time. The job market isn't the greatest I've seen, but I'm still hopeful.

I've also been finishing up some websites I've been working on. This site, for instance, and Vashon Property Management's website. I have another client's website in the works, too, but I can't show it off until it goes live.

In addition to this I've also bee brushing up on my web development skills: Object Oriented Programming in PHP, XML and it's related technologies (Web Services, XHTML, XSLT, etc), AJAX. I'm also toying with the idea of connecting my site with Facebook which means I'll be learning their API as well.

I'm in the process of redoing my images site in OOP format and a few other tweaks to make it a bit more eye friendly. I'm not sure what I was thinking earlier this year with that light green background.

Since I've been home for the past couple months, I've also been watching Caleb during the day, while Ashley is doing her college classes online. He is a handful and takes a good chunk of time out of my day, but I wouldn't trade that time for anything.

As far as updates on this site, I've updated my Books I Own list to be more complete, though it's not all there yet. I'm still working on that. I've added Bones to my TV Shows I Watch list, since Ashley and I have watched through the entire series over the last month. Be watching for reviews of certain seasons of Bones soon. I added a new file on the download page, as well: FoxIt Reader. It's faster and less memory intensive than Adobe Acrobat Reader, so if you use a lot of PDF files, it might be worth checking it out.

Here's hoping that I'll have a job by the next time I post an update.
