| From Finding a Girlfriend to Having a Baby [CynicSoC: Marriage came before the baby, though. 
Oh my gosh! We're actually updating the site! Hell must have frozen over! Anyone seen the flying pigs?
Anyway, since our last news post (February 15th, 2006), SoC has gotten engaged to and married Ashley. Now they are expecting their first child. Let the fight begin on the boy/girl thing.
In other news, SoC is supposedly working on another new version of the site. I think that makes 5 that he's worked on. Whether this one sees the light of day, only God knows.

Hello fellow site users ;D It's about time someone updated this place, and since my husband has left it to collect dust, I thought I would give it a shot.
We have since had our baby, a boy, who's name is Caleb.  He was born on July 23, 2008 at 11:31 p.m. at 7 lb 14 oz and 20.5 inches long. He is now nearly double his size, and about the size of a four month old, though he's only two months old.
SoC has a job at a naval base as a program analyst, and absolutely loves his job! I foresee him sticking around for quite some time.
I am jobless at this point in time.. oh wait, not entirely. I have a job as a full time stay at home mom. I am currently looking for a job, but only for the weekends. Caleb really is my priority, and boy, do I ever have my work cut out for me! He's already trying to become mobile. He rolled at a week, and currently bounces in a jumperoo. I'll be chasing after him before long, I'm sure.
In other news, SoC's brother is home for a few months from a missions trip that he is doing. It has been a long (around) seven months. He finally met his nephew for the first time this last week, and though he said, "I'm not a baby person," I estimate he was COMPLETELY wrong about that ;D

Since, I'm doing more website work on the professional level, I've decided that I need to update this place. I'm working on a new version that will sport a fresh layout, cleaner, more efficient code and hopefully more regular updates.

Jeez, someone should fire the maid, she hasn't kept this place clean.
Anyways, I know I haven't posted anything since... when, July? Yikes. I've been somewhat busy with other things. My job at Wal-Mart keeps me pretty busy, then I have the church website, World of Warcraft, etc, etc, etc.
Well, I'm going to be working on websites a lot in the near future. The Church website has a few things needing to be finished on it. I've also just agreed to create my chiropractor's website. And I have a photographer friend at church who will (hopefully) soon have some space here at thesocs.com. All of these sites are being built/worked on by myself, so I'll be pretty busy.
Anyways, Just a heads up. I know I've been promising to get Version 3 of this place finished, and I will, but it might be the end of the year before I can get to it. | |

2) There's been a new MMSoC.EXE comic up for about a week.
Also... since my last update, there's been a lot of changes in my life. I lost my job, got a new one, lost a roommate, and my car stereo, speakers, and CDs were stolen. Yeah... That's about it for now.

[CynicSoC: How original. ]
I just recently got back from a weekend in Salem, visiting friends from college. It was a fun trip and very relaxing. Unfortunately it wasn't all fun and games.
One of my friends lost his job Monday. I was still in bed when he knocked on the door. I answered and he said that he and "urgent need to kill things." He jumps on World of Warcraft and proceeds to kill things, specifically Horde. I asked him what was up and he told me he'd lost his job. Later we went out for lunch, he got some Coke (as in Coca-Cola, though the effect on him can make you wonder if it's not the other coke ) and was in a much better mood. We also went to the nickel arcade that night after dinner (where he got more of his "happy-juice" ). Overall it was an okay day. The next day I helped him and his wife get their truck fixed so they don't have to rely on the bus system anymore.
Anyways, I get home and find that both of my roommates have some serious problems that just cropped up.
My cousin (rommate #1) has recently divorced and is possibly losing his kids at the end of the school year. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy. I don't really want to say too much more about it, but please keep him in your prayers.
My other roommate has a problem that I told him I wouldn't tell anyone about, but is of equal significance. Again, prayers would be appreciated for him.
So anyways, that's the crap that's been going on. Now for something more upbeat.
I've been working on version three of the site and I must say: Booyah. I can't wait to finish it up. It's a simple, but very functional and good-looking layout, if I do say so myself. I think you'll all like it.
I'm now the GM for the [Battle Network RP] at [The MegaMan Theme Sanctuary]. We're still figuring out some of the finer points of the rules, but it's going pretty smoothly. Join up, if you're interested.
Oh, Painted Soul has released a raw recording of their new song "Not Me." Go download it. You'll like it. Of course, it'll be better once they get it mixed and Russ lays down a better vocal track (he was sick when they recorded that one). And if you're interested in going to one of their shows, and are in the Tacoma, Washington area, e-mail me. I'll see if I can't get you in.

Yep! That's what today is for me! I'm moving to an apartment with my cousin and a friend. This is also part of the reason I haven't been around a lot lately.
Anyways, I'll probably be on cable internet as of Tuesday. W00T!
I'm going to try to think of something to celebrate our third year anniversary, which is Wednesday! Unfortunately, my secret project won't be ready by then. Nor will V3 of the site.

I've recently been told that my site hasn't been updated for about a month and a half... That's true (if you don't count the comics.
The reason for this: I'm working on a project that I've told a few people about, but won't release until it's finished. I'm hoping it'll be done before April 13th, our third year anniversary.
Also, shortly thereafter (the release) I'll begin work on the new, sleeker, slimmer version 3 of The SoCs Domain, with 30% less website.
*hears a collective gasp*
Let me tell you what that means.
Less Reviews - Why? I don't have the time to write them. Instead, what I will do is have a rating system. I'll rate something at somewhere between 1 and 5 stars, then open it up for all of you to rate. I'll post a few comments about each thing I rate, but nothing along the lines of the current reviews. This will also make it easier for me to review everything I want to review (Games, Books, Movies, Music, MODs, etc...).
Less Articles - I'll be condensing all my articles down into Editorials, MPD Stories and Short Stories. This is more to shorten the total list of links, than the shrink any amount of content.
Better Layout - I've been told several times that the amount of links is dauting. I agree. The new layout will half less than half of the links on the menu, but will still cover most of the same content.
The layout will also consist of a major theme, which I won't divulge now (partly because I don't want to spoil anything, and partly because I'm not 100% sure what the theme will be yet. ).
Anyways, those are the things to be looking for in the coming months. | |

Sorry I didn't get the comics updated on Saturday. I was out of town. I tried to get them finished on Thursday night to upload them on Firday, but I couldn't do it and still get up on time for work. Sorry, but money-making work comes before volunteer comics. 
Alas, there is hope yet! I do plan on making four comics tonight: 2 MMSoC.EXE and 2 LinkSoC comics. I will upload them for tomorrow and we wil have as many comics then as we would have had I not left town.
Also, I know I'm way behind on reviews. I'll try to catch up in the next few days. Hopefully I can even get a couple of CD previews done and review those CDs.
Oh! And don't forget the contest! Send in your funny stories and win free stuff, like a gift card to GameStop! Yeah!

Screw the whole "updates is removed from my vocabulary" thing.
Anyways, I have a few things to say.
First... WHY HAS NO ONE ENTERED THE CONTEST!?! Imagine my chagrin on the day after Christmas when I see no stories in the forums for us to read. Argh!
But, before I scare you off with my rage (which never really was there), I want to let you know that I'm extending the contest to the end of January. That and I want to hear all your funny stories, Christmas or otherwise. I'm increasing the entry limit to one a day between now and then. E-mail your entries [here].
Also, you may have noticed little changes around the site, like the marquee box above and the missing brackets around the links on the menus and the link buttons on the right menu. These are all exactly what they look like and embody some of my efforts to update the site. I'm going to be fixing a bug in the comics soon as well (so you can stop mentioning it to me Adam... ).
As for my daily reviews, I'm still trying to do that, but it's gotten ahead of me. I'll post four reviews tomorrow and be all caught up.
I have plans for a few Editorials and an MPD Story as well. Be watching for those.
Oh! For the reviews already up, I've been uploading the images that match the review (IE: CD covers, Book covers, Movie posters, Game covers) and for the CDs I've been uploading the preview MP3s. As of right now I have all of Skillet's Alien Youth and TobyMac's Momentum and This Christmas up, and part of LA Symphony's The End Is Now up. I've uploaded a few movie and game graphics, but I haven't gotten to the books yet. Keep an eye out for them.
Be sure to check out all the videos in the downloads section. I've uploaded quite a few Fallen Out videos that are gut-busting funny and a pair of SSBM videos that I made a while back.
Oh, watch for some new pictures soon. I've got new swords and want to show them off. I'll also be putting up pics of some of the stuff I got for Christmas and maybe some newer Ringo pics. Maybe I can get a couple videos of him doing funny stuff or playing with me.

What have I gotten myself into?
MegaManSoC.EXE Chapter 3 will begin on January 1st. I will update it twice weekly, Tuesdays and Saturdays.

New design will be ready for February. I have the look planned out, all I have to do is write the code, design the graphics, test... Oy vey... I've got my work cut out for me!
MOVIES!!! No, not full-length feature films, I'm talking about funny shorts from middle of June featuring Fallen Out, a band from San Diego, a pair of SSBM movies I have sitting around on my hard drive collecting dust, and I'll try to finish the RockMan/Rawkfist AMV that's in the Projects page before Christmas (no garauntees on that one).
